Active Breweries
According to our research, there are now 33 active craft brewing operations (including both brewpubs and production breweries) based in the five boroughs of New York City. In addition there are 19 contract/gypsy/cuckoo brewers (including Cuzett Libations which produces collaborative brews). Some of the latter are actively taking steps to set up their own premises in the city.
This page is a continual work in progress as we get information about new breweries virtually every week. We only include breweries that we understand to have started brewing commercially within NYC. With the current pace of change it's very hard to keep up to date, so if you are aware of any other breweries within NYC that are brewing commercially then please let us know. We'd also appreciate it if you know that any of these have stopped brewing.
