Unpretentious and down-to-earth new incarnation of the Brooklyn Ale House.
L train to Bedford Avenue, exit at the western (Bedford Avenue) end, head north one block, turn left on North 8th Street one block and look to your left. From the East River ferry at North Williamsburg, walk east along North 6th Street, turn left on Berry Street.
Alex says
This is the new incarnation of the Brooklyn Ale House (1997-2014), the tap range has improved since the transition – but on the downside there is no longer any cask-conditioned beer on offer. Down-to-earth, friendly, still with the same character as the old Ale House. Four pinball machines are hidden away in a back annex. Totally unpretentious and well worth a visit. (2/2015)
