Rosamunde Sausage Grill
Small San Francisco based chain lands in Brooklyn with a bang (and bangers). Excellent!
Directions - L train to Bedford Avenue, take the Bedford Avenue exit (at the rear of trains coming from Manhattan), walk south on Bedford Avenue to between Grand Street and South 1st Street. Alternatively, J, M, or Z train to Marcy Avenue, take the Havemeyer Street (west) exit, head north on Havemeyer Street and turn left on South 1st Street, and then right on Bedford Avenue.
Pronounced ‘Rosa-Monday’, this is the fourth opening of an excellent small sausage restaurant chain based in California (the only East Coast outlet). 24 very well chosen craft beers are on tap, there’s a cask offering, and a great food menu comprising of all kinds of hand made sausages including 4 vegan options. The bottles are mainly Belgians. There’s nothing mainstream or less than top quality here, good quality all round - and it is good value too. Definitely a beer destination, this place is excellent. Great beer, great bangers (Bangers = English slang for sausages, from the noise they can make when the skin bursts on cooking). (12/2014)
