This is an airy community beer hall and food court in the heart of Crown Heights. There are 12 taps (11 craft beer) and about 50 bottles and cans, including some unusual offerings. Occasional tap takeovers. There is a smaller side room which can be hired out for events. Between that and the main hall is an open courtyard. The food court part of the equation consists of Pizza Moto (‘The Truffliest’ comes highly recommended!), Ramen Burger, Asia Dog, and Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque. There is also a Blue Marble ice cream stand behind the courtyard. Very much a family venue, judging by the number of people with kids hanging out. There are trivia nights every Tuesday which are free to enter. The apostrophized name derives from the signs on the pillars of Bergen Street subway station which were shortened to fit in the narrow space, a couple of old enamel examples are on the wall here. First visit April 2017. Visiting quite late on a Saturday night it was predictably busy, but we found some seats and got served quite quickly. The bottled list has some highlights so check that out if there's nothing you fancy on draft. Big barn of a place, but the atmosphere was good and we really enjoyed our visit.
