One of three excellent ‘Beerly Legal’ Irish-owned bars.

At the foot of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge can be found The Jeffrey, sister bar to the renowned Alewife Queens and Fool’s Gold (the trio being the ‘Beerly Legal’ bars - q.v.). The beer selection is diverse as would be expected, and includes a cask line. There are two divided spaces, on the right is the bar while the left segment is a coffee shop and cocktail bar. The long and very narrow bar space opens out into a rear dining area and beer garden. There is wifi in the coffee shop section, but the dividing wall is too thick to get reception at the bar. Sister pub to Alewife Queens and Fools Gold, three pubs which have become some of the top beer destinations in the city. The beer range here goes from strength to strength - we had several Hill Farmstead beers on our April 2017 visits - and there are few weak spots on the list. Definitely now a 'don't miss'.
