I must describe the architecture and décor here as nothing less than spectacular, a massive Victorian drinking palace dedicated as a shrine to actress of the period Lillie Langtry. However, this is not a beer destination as such unfortunately – although they do have one cask line (which is pricey). Of the 30-odd taps, half are mass-produced macro beers and half are craft (mostly commonly found ones). A similar situation exists for the bottles. Bring your camera. (2/2015)
