Unique cask-dedicated brewpub on the roof of a high end Italian market.

Directions – R / W train to 23rd Street, enter the Eataly market between West 23rd and 24th Streets, walk to the back and look for the Birreria signs pointing to a somewhat obscured area leading to the elevator. Take that to the 14th floor and climb the steps to the roof.

Alex says

Unique rooftop brewpub across from the Flatiron Building, open air in good weather. All beer brewed on the premises is cask-conditioned, very commendably. There are three casks on offer – two permanent and one changing seasonally. Eataly is a collaboration between Dogfish Head, Del Borgo and Baladin, so their full ranges can be found. The beers are of exceptional quality, and tend to use innovative ingredients. Don’t miss. (2/2015)

Jezza says

Huge Italian themed complex with rooftop brewpub, a partnership between Dogfish Head, Del Borgo and Baladin. Two or three cask ales from that trio, all at $10 a pint. Impressive bottled list at more reasonable prices. Food pricy and I wasn't that impressed with the menu. Great views and a retractable roof. NB: Hard to find entrance, hidden away on the ground floor of the Eataly food market, via a lift to the 14th floor then stairs.
