Subterranean beer bar, ‘the antithesis of a sports bar’.

Directions – A / B / C / D / E / F / M train to West 4th Street, take the north (West 8th Street) exit, walk north very briefly, turn right on West 8th Street.

Alex says

A cute little subterranean bar with an ever changing range of mostly craft beers on their 24 taps. Bottles are mainly from Anheuser-Busch InBev unfortunately, but six are craft. There is limited food prepared behind the bar. Declared to be “The antithesis of a sports bar”, it is a civilized space for intelligent conversation and enjoyment of the wide range of beers on tap. The artwork on display changes every month or so, and all the paintings are for sale. Occasional tap takeovers and ‘meet the brewer’ events. (2/2015)
