A smart, dimly-lit, multi-levelled tavern with a respectable tap list.
Directions - 6 train to 28th Street, walk north on Park Avenue South briefly, turn left on East 29th Street. Alternatively, R / W train to 28th Street, walk north on Broadway briefly, turn right on West 29th Street (which becomes East 29th Street). Note, if coming from the R / W, you will pass The Breslin and Marta (q.v.).
Alex says
Smart and dimly-lit, there is an ever changing selection of mainly craft beers on tap. There is also an upper floor, and on top of that there's a rooftop drinking area decked out as a German biergarten. Near the entrance there are two cosy 'snugs', small enclosed areas isolated from the main room, which used to be a common feature of British pubs many decades ago. (11/2015)
