A small farm-to-table American restaurant with a tiny bar space for non-diners.
Directions - L train to 1st Avenue, walk east one block, turn right on Avenue A, turn left on East 12th Street. Note you will pass Drop Off Service (q.v.).
A tiny restaurant serving farm-to-table food, there is a small bar space for non-diners with three bar stools - so arrive early if there just for the beer. The beers range is small but very eclectic and well chosen. The kitchen, to the rear of the serving area, appears to be just as big as the public space (which isn't big!). There are two largely enclosed 'snugs', each with one table, to the rear. The name comes from a variety of apple native of upstate New York. Very worthy. (11/2015)
