New York NY 10029
(Upper East Side)
The fourth in the small chain of 'Beerly Legal' bars in the city, plenty of interesting craft beers can be found here.
Directions - 6 train to 96th Street, walk north one short block. Alternatively, Q train to 96th Street, use the northern (96th Street) exit, walk north one short block, turn left on East 97th Street and head west for two blocks.
A beer bar very serious on rarities, the fourth in the 'Beerly Legal' chain run by Patrick and Roz Donagher. In case you're wondering about the name of this place, Roz's maiden name was Rochard. 22 taps pour 20 mostly rare craft beers plus two craft ciders. This is a huge addition to the NYC craft beer scene, which opened autumn 2017. The taps are mounted on an old bathtub! Food, from a small kitchen space at the far end, largely consists of salads, sandwiches, charcuterie plates, oysters, and varied bar snacks. (12/2017)
