Impressive interior and back yard but not many craft beers.

Directions - G train to Greenpoint Avenue (Greenpoint Avenue exit), walk west. Note you will pass Búðin (q.v.). FROM THE EAST RIVER FERRY at Greenpoint Landing, walk east, take the first right on West Street, turn left on Greenpoint Avenue (passing Brouwerij Lane and The Pencil Factory, q.v.).

Friendly service, wooden booths, a fireplace, and an old bar top make this place warming and inviting. There’s a picture of the owner’s grandfather behind the bar – whose nickname was ‘The Black Rabbit’. There’s also a nice back yard. However, the selection is small and mainly common, but an occasional whopper will sometimes pop up. The bar hosts speed dating nights timed by song lengths. No public wifi. (1/2015)
