Good brewpub in an old industrial space from Ed Raven of Raven Imports / Brouwerij Lane. Renamed from Dirck the Norseman.

G train to Nassau Avenue, exit at the north (Norman Avenue) end, walk west on Norman Avenue, which will become Wythe Avenue, turn right on North 15th Street, continue to the end which is the junction with Kent Avenue and Franklin Street. Alternatively, L train to Bedford Avenue, exit at the west (Bedford Avenue) end, walk west on North 7th Street, turn right on Kent Avenue.

Alex says

Situated on the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg (the division runs along 15th Street), this spacious brewpub has a central island bar area at the front serving all sides. About 8 beers brewed on the premises are available, plus German guests such as Gaffel which the owner (who also owns Brouwerij Lane) imports himself. There’s an open plan kitchen to one side, and the brewery can be seen through glass panels at the rear. There is a reclaimed industrial feel as the former incarnation of the building was a plastic bag factory. The Kent Avenue bicycle path, heavily used in the summer, runs alongside. Often, but not all the time, features a gravity cask sat on the bar. (11/2014) UPDATE 3/2016 - Dirck the Norseman as a name has been dropped, it is just known by the name of the brewery now.

First visit April 2017 and we were a little disappointed. Ok, so it was a quiet Monday night, but there were only 5 of their own beers on and little else available. The food was pretty good and I like the space - it's just that I was expecting more beers.
